I have cronic back pain due to an injury. I had surgery in March of 2003 to try to repair the damage, but it was not successful. So I have was prescibed Hydrocodone/APAP, and if not for this medication, I would no longer be able to work or have a normal life. (I also take Neurontin for nerve pain and Ultram for inflamation.) But due to those people who abuse such medications, it is hard to find a ...

This drug is a narcotic , only patients with chronic back pain are druggies that want a addiction supply . It does nothing for pain other than making you feel stoned so u wont feel nothing , and doctors that prescribe this should be sorry for themselves.this should be taken off the market . This is pretty much the same thing as vicodin.

Received 5-325mg for molar tooth pain. On antibiotics but nothing stops that constant pain shooting to my brain, left jaw and nerves system. It’s literally driving me insane because I can’t get the teeth pulled because I’m on antibiotics. Cancer sores are the worse. And I don’t know how I got them they hurt worse. Then the tooth pain. I’m tired and sleepy. Hopefully when I visit my PCP next week he am prescribe something that actually stops the pain. I feel like I’m taking meds for no reason with no pain relieve. Literally feel nothing after taking these oils. The orajel mouth wash works better than these pills.Read More Read Less

I am 41 yo female with 3 back surgeries to date. I have progressive Degenerative Disc Disease, osteoarthritis of the entire spine, Schmorles (sp?)Nodes, my fingers and toes go numb at times, new herniation in L-3&4, narrowing disc space causing the sciatic nerve to be pinched on both left & right sides w/severe sciatic pain running down the legs, and now my spine is no longer aligned due to the fusion “slipping” out of place. I am in A LOT of pain daily. I have been taking Norco 10/325 for the past decade. The old blue Watson worked extremely well, but years ago my Walgreens pharmacy switched to Tris G 037- which is better than the awful dreaded Malinkrodt ones, and now, I have picked up the Lupin n 358 10 which so far seems to work pretty well (as I cannot find Watson brand anymore.) I do combine the hydrocodone/ acetaminophen with 10 mg Flexeril, 600 mg gabapentin, and 50 mg arthritis pill, just not all at the same time. I think this medication works pretty decently ( Lupin is my 2nd best brand for me) when used in combination with other medications. I got sick of medications and quit going to the doctor for nearly 2 months only to return as my quality of life went downhill. I think if you are lucky enough to get the right generic brand that works for you, this medication is pretty good. I go from a 8 to about a 4 or 5 on the pain scale. Those of us with chronic pain know ANY relief is welcome. It does cause nausea in some patients though. I’d say give it a try. Read More Read Less

So for the past few yrs this generic norco/hydrocodone has been nothing but garbage. I might get 1 legit rx per year that actually works & doesn't make me SICK! 2 MOS. ago I rec'd my Generic norco rx by Amneal, I was shocked, it worked so good, only had to take one vs the two I usually take. It didn't make me feel horrible, throw up or anything bad! Shocked! Last month, new mfr., this time Tris. I've heard bad things abt this one. But surprisingly it was halfway decent. Helped my pain but mind heartburn. This month, April, I got the Amneal again. I honestly have nvr been so disgusted in my life! When I got it 2 mos ago I thought, finally it's back to legit normal medicine, right? NO, this crap was pure garbage, I threw up all night. No pain relief, no matter how much I ate, my stomach kept feeling so raw and empty that I kept throwing up every hour, stomach bloated like I was 8 mos pregnant, plus terrible heartburn!! How could this be?? Same pharmacy. Of course there are never mfr lot numbers on the bottles, are there? Monday I am calling pharmacy and getting these lot numbers and heads are gonna roll! I'm calling Amneal and I am going to fill out that FDA 3055 firm or whatever number form it is & reporting this! I have had it, 5 years of this garbage crap, it has to black market, or hell the mfr itself. Go watch a video on YouTube, search ''poor quality generic drugs+Ted Talk.' There's a lady who explains it ALL & spills the beans on these unsanitary nasty plants were they're made overseas. Doctored up fraudulent test reports that our dumb azz FDA buys. These high paying FDA inspectors are sitting on their lazy a**es drawing huge paychecks allowing us to suffer in pain & get grossly sick from this crap. It's 2022 & it seems no one is accountable to their negligence anymore so why not just fly by the seat your pants & draw that huge FDA gov check? No one will EVER know that you're not really testing & analyzing this garbage! God knows what is in this stuff. I dropped one in a glass of water & no crap, it dissolved instantly! They are not putting near the active ingredient in these generic Norco that they s/b. A 10 mg is more like a 1 mg and this is why you get zero pain relief. WHEN will someone do something? I know there are thousands of more ppl who experience this too. 20 -30 yrs ago they would never get away with this, but today, no problem, different generation in the work force, most really seem not to care abt the product, the fraud, and the harm its causing.Read More Read Less

This works about as well as can be expected. I don't think there is any medicine that can completely stop the pain. I can share the experiences of other posters, some generics are absolute garbage. The Wes Pharma works decent. Norvel so far is the best generic I have had. The Mallinckrodt should be taken completely off the market. I had those for one month and it was the hardest month since my chronic issues began years ago.

I have osteo arthritis, lumbar problems, and fibromyalgia. This is the only thing that gets me through the bad days (especially weather-related). I can take 3 a day but try not to if the pain isn't too bad. My pain is generally rated at 7 every day but often goes higher. Norco works within an hour and lessens the pain to a to such a degree that I am able to function fairly well.

People, do not complain here, no one is reading this. Rather, please send via FAX or online to FDA dot gov backslash MEDWATCH. Fill out Medwatch 3500B form with your experience. If the FDA does not receive these comments, they are doing nothing. YOU MUST TAKE ACTION fill out the form to the FDA! This product is NOT AB rated, therefore it has no reference brand to compare, it is a sugar pill at best, The FDA has to be notified. To date I am the only one who submitted a form and they laughed at me!!!Read More Read Less

Was prescribed this after an outpatient surgery for wide excision on my leg( early skin cancer). I had every side effect. For me, I would rather deal with the acute pain I am having than the side effects. Dizziness, drowsiness, nausea and vomiting was the worst.

I am also a long-term pain patient (12+ years) with a severe lower back condition and fibromyalgia. Until recently, mallinkrodt 10/325 was well tolerated for me, even if it made me sleepy if I wasnt up moving. I can tell they recently changed the formula of the tablets because they now give me almost no pain relief and I'm having insomnia and heart palpitations after just a couple of hours undosed now. I can't get through the night anymore and am getting almost zero sleep. This never happened to me in 12 years! I agree with the previous poster...they clearly are cutting potency in mallinkrodt hydrocodone 10/325. Read More Read Less

Mallinckrodt changed the formulation as Norco 10mg does not work, only side effects have increased. Patients have no voice. No one at the FDA will listen. Filed 12 FDA MedWatch3500 forms and nothing at all. FDA will not run a AB rating assay of this failed formulation. This Norco is not 80% of the brand as stated in Hatch/Waxman legislation.

I had a cyst attached to my bone in my foot. With surgery the cyst was removed along with some biopsies from an opening on top of my foot. This medication has been great with helping ease my pain while using crutches to walk around. I have experienced slight nausea and tiredness but aside from that, it’s been working great!

Anyone reading this please be advised Vicodin is now generic and only has 300 mg acetaminophen. It was and still is far superior to Norco which has 325 mg acetaminophen. For the past 2 years my girl and I were talking Norco and we suffered from depression along with becoming very tired after taking it. We finally found a pharmacy that was willing to order us Vicodin and it was like night and day. It's not the same as the old 10/660 but the 10/300 is way better than the 10/325 ! If you're sick and tired of those nasty side effects do yourself a favor and switch to medication that works.Read More Read Less

I’m a head and neck cancer survivor. This generic gives me about 2 hours of relief. The prior generic, a yellow pill or of the same strength generally gave me 8 hours of relief. I had to switch to a liquid generic which provides as goor or better than the yellow pill but costs 5 times the price every month.

I would highly recommend Vicodin 7.5 or 10/300 . It's like night and day compared to the Norco 325 acetaminophen but just make sure you find a pharmacy who carries it. I search for 3 years and then finally 6 months ago I found one who had 5/300. Well, 6 months went by and he finally told me he could get the 10/300, I figure he was feeling me out because as you know, these pharmacists play God and they know that this one is addictive because it takes you out of pain. It's not the same as the old 10/660 but it's the most effective and cleanest ( no bad side effects ) medication I've had in 3 years ! Read More Read Less

Everyone needs to understand that the one size fits all is what is at hand.with the high cost of pain management the system is against us .the tools being used to curb cost are opiod guidelines non bioequivelent cheap generic pain meds being made in foreign countries with no oversight of quality at all inspectors notify facility's months prior to inspections of bioequivelents and quality. We have all become dependent on a system that is against us our quality of life isn't important our rights to quality pain management have been stripped away due to a so called opiod epidemic the new opiod guidelines are trying to figure out how to continue the inhumane prescribing guidelines to control cost not control our pain so continue to take the garbage medications that is all that's available and suffer and try very hard to stay away from street corner drugs maybe one day soon damage control will surface and the false information will surface as well how stupid do the policy makers think we are with no voice only pain we are living in a communist country today good luck sorry just tired of being in severe pain every day where is the compassion you liars at the top .I am sure my post will never be read by anyone because it's the truth no one has 1st amendment rights anymore by voicing there opions all government oversight ??Read More Read Less
